We designed a report and set of infographics on climate change implications for New Zealand. A summary brochure was also created using the illustrations and infographics.
The report provides a succinct summary of information around the risks associated with recent and projected trends in greenhouse gas emissions, and the likely consequences for New Zealand in future decades and centuries. The report was covered widely in the media after its release.
We also created a set of animated gifs that for the Royal Society to use online and on social media when talking about the Climate Change Implications report.
The gifs focus on the six sensitivities highlighted in the report: living on coasts, living on floodplains, relying on the availability of freshwater, surrounded by ocean, with unique ecosystems, and relying on strong international connectivity.
Illustrative elements from the infographics were incorporated throughout the report and the summary brochure, to increase the engagement of the publication.
