Animated data visualisation

The Mountain Safety Council asked us to create an animated data visualisation that combines photos with infographics, turning mountain safety data into messages for the outdoors-exploring public.

Instead of just making a conventional slideshow style animation, we combined the photos together to make a continuously panning landscape that takes the viewer on a journey through the different terrains of New Zealand’s backcountry that relate to each of the insights.
