The animation uses shapes and colour to represent the parties involved in Treaty Settlement negotiations. Red is used to represent hapū groupings and community members, while black represents the Crown and Te Tari Whakatau. Textured illustrations give the animation an informational and friendly tone, while still presenting the information clearly in a digital context.

The animation focuses on the mandate step of Treaty settlement negotiations. It explains the role of a hapū grouping, what a mandate strategy and deed of mandate are, and how people can have their say.

The video interview was also delivered in smaller, shareable segments so that key information could be easily shared online and in hui, helping people find answers to common questions.

Both resources empower hapū as they navigate the Treaty settlement journey. They promote clarity and confidence at every step, helping whānau make informed decisions.

“Gusto facilitated an easy and transparent process that allowed our team to be involved in every step, ensuring our aspirations were reflected in the final product. In a limited time frame, they delivered a terrific video that communicated our complex content in an engaging and informative way. Ka rawe tō mahi!”
